Showplace Spotlight Terms and Conditions
Program Overview
Showplace Spotlight is Outdoor Showplace’s referral program for people who want to introduce others to Outdoor Showplace.
Members of Showplace Spotlight receive a unique referral link they can share with friends, family, clients, colleagues, event planners, vendors, or others who may be interested in hosting an event at Outdoor Showplace.
When a referred lead becomes a completed and fully paid event, the Showplace Spotlight member who made the eligible referral may receive a reward based on the qualifying event revenue collected by Outdoor Showplace.
By joining or participating in Showplace Spotlight, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Who Can Join Showplace Spotlight
Showplace Spotlight is open to individuals, event professionals, vendors, and community members who would like to refer potential event clients to Outdoor Showplace. For non-professional participants, hosting an initial event at Showplace is a pre-requisite to joining the Showplace Spotlight rewards program.
Outdoor Showplace reserves the right to approve, deny, suspend, or remove any member from the program at its discretion.
Participation in Showplace Spotlight does not create an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, or formal sales representative relationship with Outdoor Showplace.
How the Program Works
After joining Showplace Spotlight, each member receives a unique referral link.
Members may share their referral link with people who may be interested in hosting an event at Outdoor Showplace. When someone uses that referral link and submits an event inquiry through Outdoor Showplace’s website, the inquiry may be tracked as a referred lead.
A referral reward is not earned when someone clicks a referral link, visits the website, submits an inquiry, schedules a tour, receives a proposal, or books an event.
A reward is only earned after the referred event has been completed, fully paid, reconciled, and approved by Outdoor Showplace.
What Counts as a Valid Referral
A valid referral occurs when a new prospective event client uses a Showplace Spotlight member’s unique referral link and submits an event inquiry through Outdoor Showplace’s website.
To qualify, the referred lead must not already be an active inquiry, booked event, or existing opportunity in Outdoor Showplace’s event management system before the referral is submitted.
Outdoor Showplace reserves the right to determine whether a referral is valid, eligible, and properly attributed.
Referral Tracking
Referrals are tracked through each member’s unique Showplace Spotlight referral link.
To receive credit, the referred lead must use the member’s referral link before submitting an event inquiry.
Outdoor Showplace is not responsible for referrals that cannot be tracked because of incorrect links, missing tracking data, browser settings, duplicate submissions, technical limitations, or any other issue that prevents proper referral attribution.
If a referral cannot be reasonably verified through the program’s tracking process, Outdoor Showplace may determine that the referral is not eligible for a reward.
Event Planner Referrals
Event planners may submit referrals on behalf of their clients.
To help ensure proper tracking, the event inquiry must be submitted using the client’s name and email address, not the planner’s email address.
The planner may still be eligible for referral credit if the inquiry is submitted through the planner’s unique referral link and the event meets all program requirements.
If the wrong contact information is used, or if Outdoor Showplace cannot reasonably match the referred event to the appropriate client record, the referral may not be eligible for a reward.
Duplicate Referrals and Attribution
If more than one Showplace Spotlight member refers the same prospective client or event, Outdoor Showplace will generally credit the first valid tracked referral.
Outdoor Showplace reserves the right to review and adjust referral attribution in cases involving duplicate submissions, planner-managed events, existing leads, incomplete tracking, unclear referral ownership, or other unusual circumstances.
All referral attribution decisions are made at Outdoor Showplace’s discretion.
Reward Amount
Eligible Showplace Spotlight members earn 5% of the qualifying event revenue collected by Outdoor Showplace for approved referred events.
Rewards are calculated only after the referred event has been completed, fully paid, reconciled, and approved.
Qualifying Event Revenue
Qualifying event revenue is the final contracted amount formally collected and retained by Outdoor Showplace for the referred event, and does not include any sales outside of the contracted.
Rewards are not calculated on:
- Taxes
- Discounts
- Refunds
- Credits
- Chargebacks
- Third-party pass-through charges
- Point of sale purchases during event
- Amounts paid to outside vendors or third parties
- Any amount not formally collected and retained by Outdoor Showplace
If the final contracted amount changes after a reward has been calculated, Outdoor Showplace reserves the right to adjust the reward amount accordingly.
When a Reward Is Earned
A referral reward is earned only after all of the following have occurred:
- The referred lead submits an event inquiry through a valid Showplace Spotlight referral link.
- The referred lead is confirmed as a new eligible opportunity.
- The referred client books an event with Outdoor Showplace.
- The event is completed.
- The event is fully paid.
- The event revenue is reconciled by Outdoor Showplace.
- The referral is approved by Outdoor Showplace.
Until all requirements are met, the referral and any related reward should be considered pending.
Payout Timing
Rewards are paid out monthly/
Each payout cycle generally covers eligible events completed and reconciled the previous month.
For example, rewards paid out in June would generally apply to eligible referred events completed and reconciled in May.
Payout timing may vary based on event reconciliation, payment status, administrative processing, program review, or other operational needs.
Payout Method
Approved rewards are paid by Visa Gift Card, but Outdoor Showplace reserves the right to change payout methods at our discretion. Showplace Spotlight members would be notified of any program changes to payout changes in advance.
Outdoor Showplace may require additional information from a Showplace Spotlight member before issuing a reward.
If required information is not provided, Outdoor Showplace may delay or withhold the reward until the information is received and verified.
Cancellations, Non-Payment, Refunds, and Chargebacks
If a referred event is canceled, not fully paid, refunded, charged back, or otherwise not completed, no reward will be issued.
If only part of the event payment is retained by Outdoor Showplace, Outdoor Showplace may adjust the reward based on the final qualifying event revenue actually collected and retained.
Outdoor Showplace reserves the right to reverse, adjust, or withhold rewards related to canceled, unpaid, refunded, disputed, or ineligible events.
Ineligible Referrals
A referral may be considered ineligible if:
- The referred lead was already known to Outdoor Showplace.
- The event was already an active inquiry, booked event, or existing opportunity.
- The referral was self-generated.
- The referral link was not used before the inquiry was submitted.
- The tracking information is incomplete or unverifiable.
- The event is canceled, unpaid, refunded, or charged back.
- The referred event does not meet the program requirements.
- The member violates these Terms and Conditions.
- Outdoor Showplace determines that the referral does not qualify.
Outdoor Showplace reserves the right to reject any referral that it determines to be invalid, ineligible, fraudulent, misleading, or inconsistent with the purpose of the program.
